Our mission at Sound Scout is to level the playing field for student musicians by providing a free platform to showcase their talent, track their progress, and connect with college music programs. We believe every musician—regardless of location, finances, or resources—deserves opportunities to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

Sound Scout Grades
Our Sound Scout Grades are here to celebrate growth, recognize dedication, and inspire the journey of musical mastery. These grades are designed not just as a measure, but as a motivator, guiding each musician through consistent practice and sharing their progress. By combining both practice time and shared videos, your Sound Scout Grade reflects your commitment and steady improvement over time.
With each video uploaded, every practice session logged, and achievement verified, your Sound Scout Grade showcases your unique musical journey. We believe in the value of hard work and persistence, and our grading system supports these principles, encouraging you to stay engaged, track your growth, and strive for excellence.
Soon, students will also be able to upload specific “skill” videos for detailed feedback to help boost their Sound Scout Grade. This feature will give you even more ways to demonstrate your talent, refine your skills, and receive guidance to take your music to the next level.
